CHICKEN KRAINER SAUSAGE

The 'Krainer' owes its name to the Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph, who in 1801 traveled to the province of 'Krain' (in German) or 'Carniola' (in English) in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The story – a modest tavern owner offered the Emperor his home-made sausages with no particular name. Happy with the taste of these juicy sausages, the emperor anointed it 'Krainer Wurst' or 'Krainer' after the province name. The humble Krainer has even sparked an international food fight between Austria, Germany and Slovenia..all staking claim to its origins. Chicken Krainer is best for those lazy evenings as a small snack with mustard, horseradish and sauerkraut.

Cooking Instruction:
Pan Fry/Sauté – Pan-fry on medium heat with a little olive/sunflower oil for 5-7 minutes on each side until evenly golden brown with tender meat inside and crispy skin outside.
Grill – Preheat griller/oven to medium, lightly oil the sausages. Cook for about 7-8 minutes, turning until golden brown..juicy inside yet crispy outside.
